Avilo AS is a Norwegian software company with a pragmatic and responsible approach to sustainability. As a digital service provider, our direct environmental footprint is limited. Our focus is therefore on reducing impact where we have real control, and on developing software that enables our customers to operate more efficiently, with lower resource usage and less waste.
We prioritize practical measures and measurable outcomes over formal certifications that do not add operational value for our type of business.Â
Our operations
In our own operations, we have made deliberate choices to reduce environmental impact:
✓ Avilo AS uses electric vehicles as company cars and prioritizes digital meetings over travel.
✓ Air travel is limited to cases where physical presence is necessary.
✓ Our office is located within walking distance of public transportation.
✓ Waste is sorted according to local schemes, and electronic waste is delivered to approved recycling facilities.
✓ Office furniture is primarily purchased second-hand instead of new, to reduce resource consumption and waste.Â
IT operations and data center
Our software solutions are operated in an energy-efficient data center environment.
✓ Approximately 80 percent of cooling is achieved through the use of natural outside air.
✓ Capacity, storage, and computing resources are actively managed to avoid unnecessary energy consumption.
✓ Stability and efficiency are prioritized over overdimensioning.Â

The primary environmental impact of Avilo AS lies in how our software is used by customers across different operational areas.
Across all solutions, the common denominator is improved operational efficiency, longer asset lifespans, and reduced waste. For many customers, this represents a concrete and measurable contribution to their sustainability and ESG efforts.
Environmental certification
Avilo AS is not environmentally certified at this time, as this is not a legal requirement for our business. If specific certification requirements are part of a tender or contractual process, this can be evaluated in dialogue with the customer.
Ongoing improvement
Avilo AS continuously reviews its operations and solutions to identify opportunities for improvement. Our objective is steady progress through real, documented actions rather than symbolic measures.
