One Year as avilo: What We've Learned Since the Rebrand

A year ago, we officially became avilo. It was a meaningful shift for us, a chance to give our brand a clearer reflection of the values and mindset that have guided us from the start.

We’ve always believed in building tech that feels human. That didn’t change with the name. What changed was how we present ourselves, both visually and in how we connect with others.


From Vantevo to avilo

The name change marked more than just a new logo or website. It brought our identity in line with how we work: transparent, collaborative, and focused on creating intuitive digital solutions for real-world everyday needs.

The name "avilo" is clean, simple, and easier to remember, just like the tools we strive to build.


What’s Happened Since

We’ve packed a lot into the past 12 months:

  • Welcomed a new CEO, Liliana Denisé Norén, who brought fresh energy and vision to the company

  • Named Startup of the Year in Norway by HackerNoon

  • Watched Washd grow into one of the most recognized laundry tech solutions in the country

  • Launched Washd Prevent, helping laundries reduce downtime and protect their machines

  • Tripled our number of Washd customers

  • Moved into a new office in Larvik, and began building a new workspace in Macedonia

  • Shared more of our story on LinkedIn, in blogs, and directly with customers

  • Had some unforgettable team moments in Norway and North Macedonia

What We've Learned

Consistency matters. When your values guide your work, everything else, from branding to decision-making, feels more natural.

It’s okay to be human. The content that connected the most wasn’t polished or overly produced. It was the behind-the-scenes moments, the people, the honest updates. That’s what made it feel real.

Growth builds over time. Some of our biggest wins started with curiosity and a willingness to try something new. It doesn’t always look dramatic, but progress adds up.

Looking Ahead

The rebrand brought a fresh sense of direction. Now we’re focused on what comes next:

  • Developing new features and improvements to Washd

  • Supporting digitalization across other industries

  • Building long-term partnerships that focus on real outcomes

  • Creating technology solutions that are actually enjoyable to use

We’re proud of the last year and even more excited about what lies ahead.
