What “Made in Norway” Means for avilo and for Our Customers

We recently received the Made in Norway certification, a program run by Innovation Norway for companies that create value in Norway and meet defined standards around responsibility and sustainability.
For us, the most important part is what sits behind this label.
When a company chooses a technology partner, the decision rarely comes down to software alone. People are also looking at how the solution evolves, how challenges are handled when they appear, and whether the team behind it remains a reliable partner over time. In practice, those things often matter just as much as functionality.
Why origin still plays a role
Software is built and delivered globally today, but companies are still shaped by where they come from. Culture and ways of working influence how decisions are made and what standards people operate with.
Norwegian companies are often associated with reliability, openness, quality and long-term thinking. That reputation has developed over time through how businesses actually behave, and it shows up in practical ways.
Being part of the Made in Norway program places avilo within that context. A significant part of our development and value creation happens in Norway, and the way we operate follows recognised standards related to responsibility and sustainability.
What this means in practice for customers
For customers, the location itself matters less than the trust behind it.
It means working with a company that focuses on building solutions that last, rather than delivering something quickly and moving on. It prioritizes collaboration instead of handover, and continuous improvement instead of static systems.
It also reflects how we think about usability. We spend a lot of time making sure solutions fit real workflows, because technology only creates value when people actually use it.
How it connects to how we work
Internally, we often come back to a simple question: does this make work easier for the people using it?
That question influences everything from product decisions and design priorities to how we work with customers during development and implementation. It is also why we focus on clarity and usefulness rather than complexity.
Receiving the Made in Norway certification does not change this approach, but it does confirm that the direction we have chosen is the right one.
Looking ahead
Technology markets will continue to evolve, and innovation can come from anywhere.
But trust still grows from consistency: how companies behave over time.
For avilo, being part of the Made in Norway program is both a recognition and a reminder to continue building solutions that create real, practical value for the businesses that rely on them every day.
