Hi, I'm great! I am very excited about this interview and to share my experience at avilo.

Can you please tell us a bit about yourself and how you got into social media?

Yes, of course. My name is Monika Angelkovska, I'm from Bitola, and I am 23 years old. I studied Marketing for four years, so my educational background is solidly in that area. I'm really happy to be working in a field that I both enjoy and studied. I am an outgoing person with a passion for Social Media Marketing. Since I was little, I've always wanted to create and post content. It began with different Facebook pages, then writing blogs, managing Instagram profiles, and now I've landed my dream job as a Social Media Manager.

Every day I have new tasks that I really enjoy. Typically, my day involves planning and creating new content for our social media channels, writing blog posts for our website, collaborating and engaging with our team members and followers.

You started as an intern and now you're a full-time employee at avilo! Congratulations. What do you like most about the company?

Thank you! I'm very happy to be a part of the team. There are a lot of things I like about the company, but definitely the thing I love the most is the support and the team atmosphere at avilo. Starting as an intern in a new company is scary, but avilo proved me wrong. Even though I work remotely, the support, welcoming, and understanding from the team since the day I started has been amazing. I now really understand how much it means to work with a team like this.

What is one piece of advice you would give to someone who wants to get into Social Media Marketing?

Take time for yourself; don’t burn out. Working in social media demands a lot of creativity, and if you tire yourself out, it will be too hard to think of new ideas. So take a moment, relax a little, and then start working with a clear mind.

That's great advice! What has been your favorite project that you’ve worked on at avilo so far?

Hmm, my colleague and I worked on creating Brand Book Guidelines for avilo and our sister company, Washd. It was my first time creating a brand book guideline, and I learned a lot about branding and how important it is to have a brand book for a brand. In the end, when we finished it, I was really proud of the final product we created.

My motivation is seeing the final result of the work I do. I really enjoy seeing positive results and also getting positive feedback. It motivates and inspires me to create and think of new things.
