Washd Control Newsletter – Week 33

Now that the summer holidays are over, it’s time to give you an update on what you’ll soon have access to in Washd - some brand-new features and some returning favourites that will make you enjoy this fantastic solution even more! The update will take place on Friday in week 34.
New textile registration on mounted scanner
An old hero is back – new textile registration on a mounted scanner. You can now once again take a larger batch of pre-chipped textiles, place them on a trolley, and scan them into the system using a mounted scanner or in the scanning cage. This is a feature several customers have requested recently. If you have a scanning cage from us, you don’t need to think much about antenna strength, as the signals stay inside the cage. However, if you use wall-mounted antennas, it might be a good idea to have a chat with us first, so that textiles not meant for registration are kept outside.
Washd Order Portal tablet
This spring, we received a request from an environmentally conscious customer. They didn’t want orders placed by their customers in the Order Portal to be printed on paper, in order to save the environment from unnecessary printouts. Instead, they wanted the orders to be sent to a tablet accessible to the employees who pack the orders. Said and done. Now, all orders are sent to the tablet, employees start and complete the picking process on the tablet, and a counting column has been added to help employees keep track of how much has been picked. This is especially useful for larger orders where it’s easy to lose track of which textiles have been picked and in what quantities.
Sorting by temperature
Some of you might recognise the idea behind this feature, as it works in the same way as colour sorting—except here you sort by temperature, and the textiles are simultaneously set to “received.” This will be especially useful for those of you who separate textiles at, for example, 40°C and 60°C. To use this feature, you must have the Washd Sorting Solution from us. Here, a textile is scanned over the sorting scanner, and arrows on the screen show the employees where the textile should be placed.
Tripletex integration
Now, for customers with multiple departments, the department name will be shown in the reference field on the invoice basis if you use Tripletex. This will make it easy for you to document to the customer how much laundry each department has used when they request this information.
Bug fix
A bug has been fixed that caused the wrong date to be displayed in Excel.
